Oil Search Limited announces update to Total's drilling operations at the Antelope field, Papua New Guinea

Antelope-1 PNG

Antelope 7/7ST1 is the final well in an appraisal campaign that has so far seen 2C contingent gas reserves of the field increase by 21% to 6.45 tcf. The appraisal section of the well sought to test the field’s western flank, but did not intersect Antelope reservoir. The well was then deepened to explore the seismically defined Antelope Deep carbonate prospect. This secondary target was reached at 2766m, and a vertical seismic log and 9m of core were acquired. At the end of March, the well was at 3226.5m and being deepened. Results of this exploration drilling are hotly anticipated.
